Mrs. Joseph Kliment Sr., 70, of Melnik, died late Sunday night at Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc. A patient since Saturday she had suffered a stroke at her home Friday night and had been in ill health the past week.

Funeral services will be conducted at 9:15am Wednesday at the Saur Funeral Home, Kellnersville, and at 9:30 am at St. Joseph Catholic Church in the village. The Rev. Frank Svatek will officiate and burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.

Mrs. Kliment, the former Tillie Novy was born May 11, 1884 in the Town of Kossuth and was married in St. Joseph Catholic Church, Kellnersville, Feb. 26, 1908 to Joseph Kliment. They located on a farm near Melnik.

She is survived by the husband, three sons, Alvin of Manitowoc, Ervin of Mishicot and Joseph Jr. of Rt. 2, Manitowoc; three daughters, Mrs. Clarence Trost and Mrs. Luallyn Staudinger of Rt. 2, Two Rivers and Mrs. Russell Halverson of Manitowoc; two sisters, Miss Emma Novy and Mrs. Katherine Rockey of Manitowoc, and nine grandchildren.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 2pm Tuesday. The Rosary will be recited at 7:30pm Tuesday by Father Svatek and at 8pm by the Manitowoc council of Knights of Columbus.
