George Oberg, 84, of 411 North Tenth St., Manitowoc, retired lake captain, died Monday at the Holy Family Hospital.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the Frazier Mortuary Chapel, Manitowoc. The Rev. Myron Swanson will officiate and burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
Mr. Obert was born near Mishicot in 1868 and later located in Manitowoc. In the days of sailing vessels he captained several craft sailing out of Manitowoc harbor, retiring several years ago. In 1911 he married Miss Emma Hansen. She died in April, 1952.
Only survivors are several cousins.
Friends may call at the mortuary after 7 p.m. Wednesday.
