Mrs. Edward Oberland, 72, of 1416-A Marshall St., Manitowoc died early Thursday morning at Memorial Hospital, Manitowoc after a short illness.


Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the Urbanek and Schlei Funeral Home. The Rev. Gervase Zanotti will officiate and burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.


Mrs. Oberland was born Emma Schultz on Sept. 20, 1882, in Manitowoc. On April 14, 1906, she was married to the late Edward Oberland and the couple settled in Manitowoc. They resided for four years with a daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Wick, of Altadena, Calif. In 1952 they returned to Manitowoc.


Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Wick; a son, Paul of Manitowoc; two brothers, William G. of Manitowoc and Gustave of Milwaukee; a sister, Mrs. Lillian Taite of Milwaukee; and four grandchildren.


Mrs. Oberland was a member of the Ladies Society of the First Presbyterian Church of Manitowoc.


Friends may call at the funeral home after 4 p.m. Friday.
