Mrs. Leo (Lucille) O'Connell, 81, former Manitowoc resident, died Sunday, February 17, at Cooperstown, North Dakota.
Funeral services will be 9 a.m. Thursday at Urbanek and Schlei Pfeffer and Reinbold Funeral Home and 9:30 a.m. at Holy Innocents Catholic Church, Manitowoc. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Leo J. Schmitt and burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mrs. O'Connell was born December 9, 1903, at Reedsville. Mrs. O'Connell was a School Teacher for 40 years with the last 15 years being at Mishicot, Wisconsin. She married Leo M. O'Connell on June 14, 1927, at Reedsville, Wisconsin. He preceded her in death on January 10, 1971. Mrs. O'Connell was a member of Holy Innocents Catholic Church.
Survivors include two sons, Eugene E. O'Connell of Cooperstown, North Dakota, and Leo A. O'Connell of Medford Lakes, New Jersey; seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by brothers and sisters.
Friends may call at Urbanek and Schlei Pfeffer and Reinbold Ninth St. Chapel, Manitowoc, 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday evening where a parish prayer service will be at 830 p.m. led by Deacon Donald Gigure.
