Phyllis M. O'Connell, age 80, resident of the Manitowoc Health Care Center, died Monday, Nov. 13, 2006 at the center.
She was born Nov. 1, 1926 in Manitowoc, daughter of the late Raymond and Norma (Ruether) Cox. Phyllis was a graduate of Lincoln High School, Manitowoc, class of 1944. On Jan. 26, 1946 she married Gerald D. O'Connell at St. Boniface Catholic Church, Manitowoc. He preceded her in death Jan. 22, 1990.
Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Patrick and Maris O'Connell, Moorhead, Minn.; Daniel and Molly O'Connell, Manitowoc; three daughters and sons-in-law, Jackie and Pat Arpin, Watertown, Bridget and Larry Ziarnik, Green Bay; Colleen and Steve Weber, Manitowoc; 10 grandchildren; Caitlin O'Connell; Morgan, Patrick and Michael O'Connell; Melisa (Stan) Kassube, Matt (Meg) Arpin; Jerry Connors and special friend, Lisa, Mark (Heather) Ziarnik; Tim Ziarnik and fiancée, Amanda Ben Weber and special friend, Laura; four great grandchildren, Taylor and Brennan Kassube; Adeline and Adrienne Arpin and a brother-in-law, Harold O'Connell, Pocatello, Idaho. Nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Peggy Connors; three sisters and two brothers.
Funeral services will be held at 7:30 pm Thursday, Nov. 16, 2006 at the Pfeffer Funeral Home and Cremation Care Center, Manitowoc. Officiated at the service will be Mr. Thomas Mahoney, with burial at Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
The family will greet relatives and friends at the Pfeffer Funeral Home and Cremation Care Center, Manitowoc from 5 pm Thursday, Nov. 16, 2006 until the time of service at 7:30 pm.
