STROKE FATAL AT HIS HOME
Rudolph Oestreich, 67, Will Be Buried Wednesday
A heart stroke early Sunday morning proved fatal to Rudolph Oestreich, 67, retired, at the home, 1521 Clark street. Mr. Oestreich had been about as usual on Saturday and did not complain of feeling ill when he retired. He died soon after the arrival of a physician.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. from the First German Evangelical Lutheran church, following brief services from the Wattawa, Urbanek and Schlei funeral home. Interment will be at Evergreen.
The deceased was born in this county in 1866. He became a stationary engineer, and for years was employed in the plant of the Manitowoc Malting company. When it closed he retired. He was married in 1897 to Miss Ida Hardrath of Kossuth.
Survivors are his widow; two daughters, Mrs. John Weyer and Mrs. Edward Benishek, both of this city; a son Hugo, city; three brothers August, Richard and Walter Oestreich all of this city; and four sisters, Mrs. Henry Witt and Mrs. John Holz, both of this city, Mrs. Carl Haese of Reedsville and Mrs. Otto Haese of Burbank, Calif.
The body may be viewed up to the hour of the funeral at the funeral home.
