HUGO R. OESTREICH

Hugo R. Oestreich, 58, of 730 S. 28th St., Manitowoc, died Wednesday evening at his home following an illness of seven months.


Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Wesley Methodist Church, Manitowoc, the Rev. Donald Stannard officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.


Mr. Oestreich was born Dec. 17. 1903, at Manitowoc, son of the late Rudolph and Ida Hardrath Oestreich. Sept. 30, 1934(sic), he married Gertrude Krueger at Chase. The couple located at Manitowoc where Mr. Oestreich was employed for the last 34 years at Mirro Aluminum Co. as a tool and die maker.


He was a member of Machinists Local No. 516, the 25 Year Club at Mirro and Maribel Sportsman's Club. He was an ardent fisherman and hunter.


Survivors include his wife, a sister, Mrs. Edward Benishek, of Maribel and several nieces and nephews. A sister, Mrs. John Weyer preceded him in death a year ago.


Friends may call at Urbanek and Schlei Funeral Home, Manitowoc, after 3 p.m. Friday until 11 a.m. Saturday when the casket will be moved to the church where the body will lie in state until the hour of service.

WEDDED SEPT. 30, FRIENDS IN DARK 'TILL NOW


Wedded September 30 at Marinette, the marriage of Miss Gertrude Krueger of Pulaski and Hugo Oestreich, of this city was kept secret by the couple and friends became advised of the event only this week, when Mr. and Mrs. Richard Oestreich made announcement of the marriage and the the bridal couple were making their home at 1521 Clark street.


The bride is a daughter of William Krueger of Pulaski and made her home here two years ago and the friendship formed at that time led to the marriage. Mrs. Oestreich had been at her home at Pulaski the past year. Mr. Oestreich is employed by the Weyer Wagon company.
