LENORE O'HEARN

(1895 • 1965)


Mrs. Ambrose O'Hearn, 69, died early Thursday morning after a lingering illness at home, 1526 Menasha Ave., Manitowoc.


Funeral services will be at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at Mittnacht Funeral Home and at 10 a. m. at Holy Innocents Catholic Church, Manitowoc. The Rev. E. A. Radey will officiate and burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.


The former Lenore Bartelme was born July 5. 1895, at Cooperstown, daughter of the late John and Norma Scanlon Bartelme. She attended St. James Catholic School, Cooperstown, and was married at St. James Catholic Church in the village to Ambrose O'Hearn Oct. 25, 1919. The couple operated a farm at Maple Grove until 1955, coming to Manitowoc to establish residence. Mrs. O'Hearn was a member of Christian Mothers Altar Society of Holy Innocents Church, Daughters of Isabella, Holy Family Hospital Guild, Sacred Heart Seminary league, Third Order of St. Francis and Catholic Knights of Wisconsin.


She is survived by her husband, three sons, Leo of Northridge, Calif., John of Maple Grove and Don of Orange, Calif. three daughters, Mrs. Francis Kerscher and Mrs. Richard Woznick of Manitowoc and Mrs. Lester Grall of Long Beach, Calif., two brothers; Leo of California and Eugene of Manitowoc; three sisters, Mrs. John Wellner and Mrs. Louis Kriwanek of Denmark and Mrs. Gordon Franke of California, and 19 grandchildren. Four brothers and a sister preceded her in death.


Friends may call at the funeral home after 3 p.m. Friday where the Rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. by Daughters of Isabella and at 8:15 p.m. by Christian Mothers Altar Society and Third Order of St. Francis members.
