Donald G. Ohlhues, 83, of 1014 Menahsa Ave., Manitowoc, died Monday, June 30, 1986 at his residence.


Funeral services will be 9:30 am Wednesday at Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc and 10 am at Holy Innocents Catholic Church. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Leo J. Schmitt with burial to follow at Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.


Mr. Ohlhues was born March 11, 1913 in Chicago, Illinois, son of the late Hugh and Emma Ohlhues. He married the former Christine Eveld on August 5, 1937 at Altus, Arkansas. She preceded him in death July 24, 1979. Mr. Ohlhues owned and operated the former Husmann Cleaners in Manitowoc which was merged with Globe Laundries and Cleaners in 1961. Mr. Ohlhues was Secretary and Treasurer, retiring in 1980. Mr. Ohlhues was a member of Golden K Kiwanis Club and the Elks Club of Manitowoc.


Survivors include a son and a daughter-in-law, Robert and Joyce Ohlhues of Green Bay; two daughters and sons-in-law, Bette and Lou Close of Schofield, Wisconsin and Mary Ann and William Duebner of Manitowoc; a sister, Mrs. Emma Husmann of California and eight grandchildren, Christa, L.D., Michael, Dean, Wendy, Greg, Erin and Ryan.


Friends may call at Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, from 6 pm to 8 pm Tuesday evening. A prayer service will be held Tuesday evening at 7 pm. The family requests memorials to American Cancer Society.
