Mrs. Martin Olson, 88, who made her home with her son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Olson, of Rt. 4, Manitowoc died Wednesday morning at Memorial Hospital, Manitowoc, after a short illness.


Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday at Urbanek and Schlei Funeral Home, Manitowoc, the Rev. Gervase Zanotti officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.


Mrs. Olson, nee Wilhelmina Helwig, was born Aug. 24, 1876, at Oconto, daughter of the late August and Adeline Richter Helwig. She was married in 1905 to Mr. Olson at Taylor, Wis. The couple resided at Taylor and Alma Center and came to Manitowoc 55 years ago. Mr. Olson died in October, 1924. She was a member of the Ladies Aid Society of the First Presbyterian Church, Manitowoc, and the Ladies Aid of the Methodist Church at Alma Center.


Survivors are four sons, Lloyd E. of Rt. 4, Manitowoc, Virgil, of Sheboygan and Ivan and Walter, of Manitowoc; a sister, Mrs. Amanda Signer, of Madison; seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren. A son, Martin Jr., preceded her in death.


Friends may call after 3 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, Ninth Street entrance.
