Rachel Ellen Antle was the daughter of Sidney (McMillan/McMullen) Antle. There are questions about her paternity. Her year of birth is 1850, not 1851 (as written on her death certificate. She appears in the 1850 census and is shown to be about 4 months old in September of 1850.

She married Reuben Wagner on 15 May 1870 in Morgan Co., OH. They had at least 11 children:

NOTE:
- In the 1850 census for Marshall Co., VA, Sidney McMullen Antle appears as head of household with the name Sidney Sheets. Some of her older children are listed with the surname Antle (Harriet, George, Linzey, and Sidney Ann) - there are two other children also listed with the surname Antle: John, age 12 (1838) and Cephas, age 8 (1842). Her next child is listed as Ellen Sheets, age 4 months - this would be Rachel Ellen. This raises the question of whether William Antle died in 1860 or earlier. Did Sidney remarry?

- On her marriage & death records, her maiden name is listed as SHEETS.
- Her son, George, had the middle name of ANTLE.
- Her daughter, Dora, gave the info for Ellen's death certificate, and she listed Ellen's father as John SHEETS. However, at this time, I have been unable to locate her birth record.
