TERRE HAUTE — Tina A. Bowers Abercrombie, 92, of Terre Haute, died Saturday, Feb. 25, 2012, in Meadows Manor East. She was born March 12, 1919 in Otwell, Ind., to Edward Ashcraft and Mary Postlewaite Ashcraft.

Survivors include one sister, Lorene Meise of Winnetka, Calif.; one nephew, Larry Meise of California; and two nieces, Lora Lee Lane of California and Mary Jo Slater of Terre Haute. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Paul Bowers and Noble Abercrombie; her parents; and two brothers, Arthur Ashcraft and Eddie Ashcraft.

Tina was a member of Bible Baptist Church. She retired from Root's Department Store in 1982.

Funeral services are scheduled at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 29, 2012, in Callahan & Hughes Funeral Home, 605 S. 25th Street with Pastor Bob Parker officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Park. Visitation is scheduled one hour prior to services on Wednesday.
