Edd Loyd Lowe, 79, of Madison died Sunday at Huntsville Hospital.


Lowe was born in Clinton, Tenn.

He was an infantry soldier in the Korean War.

He had retired from Teledyne Brown Engineering where he was employed as an electrician.

He was a devoted husband and dad.

He loved and enjoyed helping people and was a self-taught craftsman.


He was preceded in death by his parents, Alfred and Rosa Lowe; brothers, L.D. and Garrett Lowe; and sisters, Carrie Bunch and Elizabeth Altum.


Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Jean Lowe; son, Mark Lowe and wife Brenda of Harvest; brother, Buddy Ray Lowe of Clinton; sisters, Lillie Day and Pauline Weaver of Clinton and Darlis Courtney of Kodak, Tenn.


Visitation was held from noon to 2:30 p.m. on October 7 at Berryhill Funeral Home in Huntsville.

Funeral services followed at 2:30 p.m. in the chapel with Chaplain Billy Fowler officiating.

Burial and graveside services were held at 3:30 p.m. at Maple Hill Cemetery.
