Obituary for Adele M. Budden

Adele M. Budden, age 83, passed away on Wednesday, March 9, 2011, at her home surrounded by her family.

She was born in Cuba City on July 21, 1927, the daughter of Martin and Mary (Cullen) Runde. On Oct 9, 1948, Adele married John Budden. Together they lived in various cities throughout the United States while John was in the U.S. Navy before settling in Stoughton in 1965 after his retirement from the service.

Adele cooked for St. Ann School lunch program for many years and then worked at Chalet Travel Agency for 21 years. She was a member of St. Ann Parish and Altar Society, and the Fleet Reserve Auxiliary. Adele was a die hard Cubs and Packers fan.

She is survived by her husband of 62 years, John; seven children, Ann (Tom) Halverson, Robert (Heidi), Tom, Dick, Ellen (Ann Underberg), David (Marybeth) and Tim (Chris) Budden; 10 grandchildren, Sara (Kevin), Andy, Heath (Jacqueline), Lucas, Emily, Lauren (Mike), Ashley, Alexis, Brad and Courtney; six great-grandchildren and one due in June, Shawn, Abigail, Severin, Robert, Elanor and David; siblings, Emmett Runde, Father Raymond Runde, Mert (John) Blankenheim and Gene (Shirley) Runde; and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Adele was preceded in death by her parents; brother, James (Rosie) Runde; and sister-in-law, Doris Runde.

A memorial Mass will be held at 1 p.m., today, Friday, March 11, 2011, at ST. ANN CATHOLIC CHURCH, 323 N. Van Buren Street, with Monsignor Gerard Healy officiating. Friends and relatives are invited to a luncheon immediately following the services in the church fellowship hall. Burial will take place in St. Ann Cemetery. Friends may greet the family from 11 a.m . until the time of Mass. Memorials may be made to St. Ann Catholic Church or to HospiceCare Inc. A special thank you to Monsignor Healy and HospiceCare Inc.
