Mrs. Ida Omer, 79, of 1518 S. 12th St., Manitowoc, died Sunday in Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc.


Christian Science Services will be 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in Jens Funeral Home, Manitowoc, with burial in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.


Mrs. Omer, nee Ida Marquardt, was born April 4, 1896, in Manitowoc. She attended Manitowoc schools and was graduated from Manitowoc County Normal. Following graduation she taught primary grades in schools in and around Manitowoc County. She had been married to Frank Houghton and William Simerson, both of whom preceded her in death. She was married to Gaylord Omer May 25, 1964, in Manitowoc, where they resided. She was a member of First Church of Christian Science and Order of Eastern Star 196.


Survivors include her husband; two nieces, Mrs. Uriel (Edith) Garey of Manitowoc and Mrs. John (Marilyn) Pfeil of Hartland, Wis.; a nephew, Alfred Marquardt of Menomonee Falls and a sister-in-law, Mrs. Gladys Alenius of Milwaukee. A brother and three sisters preceded her in death.


Friends may call in Jens Funeral Home 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday where Eastern Star memorial service will be at 7:30 p.m.
