GEORGE O'NEIL

(1901 • 1967)


George O'Neil, 65, of Rt. 1, Newton, died Thursday morning at the farm of his sister, Mrs. John Grady. He was found dead on a tractor. Death was attributed to a coronary.


Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc. The Rev. Gervase Zanotti will officiate and burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.


Mr. O'Neil was born Sept. 7, 1901, in the Town of Liberty, son of the late Frank and Margaret Goldie O'Neil. He married Bertha Schnell Nov. 21, 1935, in the Town of Liberty where he resided all his life and operated a farm on Rt. 1, Newton. He was a member of the Town of Liberty Farm Bureau.


He is survived by his wife; a son, Gerald, of Rt. 1, Newton; two daughters, Mrs. Richard (Lorraine) Liermann and Mrs. Carl (Irene) Schwantes of Rt. 4, Manitowoc; a brother, Frank of Rt. 1, Newton; three sisters, Mrs. John Grady of Rt. 1, Valders, Mrs. Matt Kurtz of Antigo and Mrs. Al McNulty of Green Bay and three grandchildren. A son preceded him in death.


Friends may call at the funeral home after 3 p.m. Friday.
