Mr. Charles F. Opichka, age 92, of St. Mary's Home, and formerly of 2238 Fairmont St., Manitowoc, died Saturday, August 28, 1993, at St. Mary's Home, Manitowoc.


Private Family Funeral Services were held today, at Holy Innocents Catholic Church, Manitowoc. Rev. Gerald Foley officiated and burial was in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.


He was born December 8, 1900, at Green Street, Wis., son of the late Charles and Emma Hamernik Opichka. He married Ann Kupsh June 2, 1924. She preceded him in death July 27, 1993. He was a longtime employee of J.J. Stangel Hardware Company retiring in 1962, as the manager. He was a member of Holy Innocents Catholic Church.


Survivors include a daughter, Harriett (Anton) Lefky, Manitowoc two grandchildren, Scott (Christine) Lefky, Barrington, Ill., and Charles (Rebecca) Lefky, Tucson, Ariz.; a great grandson, Christopher Lefky. Also other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by a brother, Frank Opichka.


The Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home, Manitowoc, assisted the family with the funeral arrangements.
