Mrs. Emil Opichka, 47, of Rt. 3, Manitowoc, died Sunday morning at Memorial Hospital, Manitowoc.


Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at First Baptist Church, Manitowoc. The Rev. Bruce Huffer will officiate and burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.


Mrs. Opichka, the former Nona M. Ward, was born Nov. 6, 1922, at Dexter, Minn., daughter of the late Asa and Lillie March Ward. She was married Dec. 9, 1944, to Emil Opichka at Milwaukee and the couple moved to the Town of Gibson in 1946 and to the Town of Newton two months ago.


She is survived by her husband, a twin daughter, Wendy of Wisconsin State University, Oshkosh and a twin son, Ward of University of Wisconsin, Madison and a step-sister, Mrs. Ernest Theissen, of LaCrosse. A brother preceded her in death.


Friends may call at the funeral home after 4 p.m. Tuesday until Wednesday noon when the casket will be moved to the church where the body will lie in state until the time of services.
