THEODORE OPPEN

(1869 • 1901)

AT REST OPPEN

The last sad rites over the body of Otto P. Oppen took place at Norwegian Lutheran church this afternoon at two o'clock, Rev. Thorson officiating. Before the body was brought to the church, however, brief services were held at the home on North Main street. Interment followed the funeral, taking place at Evergreen.

Otto Oppen was thirty-one years of age, having been born in Eaton and residing in this county all his Life. He was married ten years ago in the city and his wife survives to mourn her loss, as well as a sister, brother and mother.

The deceased was a sufferer from consumption for five years past but was not confined to his bed until about three weeks ago. Since then, however, dissolution has been rapid and death came suddenly.
