CLARA ORCHEKOWSKY

(1906 • 1990)

Mrs. Clara R. Orchekowsky, 94, a resident of the Manitowoc Health Care Center, died Wednesday morning, December 26, 1990 at Manitowoc Health Care Center. The Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 am Friday, December 28, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Manitowoc. Rev. Roman Zbieranski O.F.M. will officiate with burial to follow at Evergreen Cemetery.

She was born July 11, 1906 at Kellnersville, Wisconsin, daughter of the late Albert and Caroline Kugel Havlichek. She grew up in the Kellnersville area, attending local schools. She moved to Manitowoc prior to her marriage. She was married to Harry W. Orchekowsky, October 3, 1933 at St. Mary's Catholic Church. He preceded her in death July 14, 1974. She and her husband owned and operated the Modern Dry Cleaning Store in Manitowoc for many years and then later on she worked at Holy Family Hospital in the Cafeteria. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and also a member of St. Mary's Rosary and Altar Society.

Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Roger and Nancy Orchekowski of Two Rivers, Wisconsin and LeRoy H. and Kristine Orchekowski of Waukesha, Wisconsin; four grandchildren, Randal of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Michael of Two Rivers, Joseph and Dusan of Waukesha, Wisconsin; a sister and two brothers-in-law, Bessie and Henry Basken of rural manitowoc and Arthur Orchekowski of Manitowoc; a sister-in-law, Mildred Orchekowski of New Holstein, Wisconsin. She was also preceded in death by a brother and two sisters.

Friends may call at St. Mary's Catholic Church on Friday from 9 am until the time of services. There will be no visitation at the Reinbold-Pfeffer, Urbanek and Schlei Funeral Home.
