Mrs. Mary Orth, age 85, a resident of St. Mary's Home for the Aged, formerly of 1119 S. 15th St., Manitowoc, died early Thursday morning May 25, 1995, at St. Mary's Home.


Funeral Services will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 27, 1995, at the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home and 1 p.m. at St. Boniface Catholic Church, Manitowoc. Mass of Christian Burial will be concelebrated by Rev. Carl Meulemans and Rev. Thomas Wojciechowski with burial in Evergreen Cemetery.


She was born December 15, 1909, in Two Rivers, daughter of the late John and Antonia Yindra Chadek. She attended St. Luke's Catholic Grade School and Washington High School, Two Rivers. Prior to her marriage she was employed at Metal Ware in Two Rivers. She married Alvin W. Orth, June 5, 1937, at St. Luke's Catholic Church, Two Rivers. He preceded her in death January 21, 1995. Mary was a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church and St. Anne's Christian Mother's Society of the church.


Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, JoAnn and Edward Willert, Manitowoc; two grandchildren, Aimee (Michael) Drancik, Naperville, Ill., David Willert, Milwaukee; two great-grandchildren, Timothy and Nicholas Drancik; one brother and sister-in-law, Paul and Evelyn Chadek, Milwaukee; one sister, Agnes Wolf, Sheboygan; one sister-in-law, Thelma Chadek, Manitowoc; nieces, nephews, other relatives and fiends (sic) surviving. She was preceded in death by her husband, Alvin in 1995; a daughter, Rosemary Orth in 1985; two brothers, Leo and Michael Chadek.


Friends may call at the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home from 5-8 p.m. on Friday and then on Saturday from 11 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home at 12:30 p.m. before leaving for church. A prayer service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Friday evening led by Father Thomas Wojciechowski.


Memorials would be appreciated to the Alzheimer's Unit of St. Mary's Home, Manitowoc.
