Grace R. Orth 83, 1831 Maple St., Manitowoc, died Saturday, March 2, 2002 at Aurora Medical Center, Two Rivers.


Funeral services will be held at 1030 a.m. Wednesday at Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home and 11 a.m. at Holy Innocents Catholic Church. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Gerald Foley, with burial in Evergreen Cemetery.


She was born Aug. 20, 1918 in Manitowoc, daughter of the late Myles and Anna Zinda Panosh. She married Herbert E. Orth on Aug. 31, 1940 at Holy Innocents Catholic Church, Manitowoc. Grace was a graduate of the Lincoln High School Class of 1936. She was a member of Holy Innocents Catholic Church and the Christian Women of the church. She also did volunteer work at Peter's Pantry, the Manitowoc/Two Rivers Chamber of Commerce and North Ridge Medical and Rehabilitation Center.


Survivors include four sons and daughters-in-law: Gary J. and Nancy Orth, Robert J. and Mary Orth, Richard G. and Mary Orth, Jan M. and Nancy Orth, all of Manitowoc; three brothers and two sisters-in-law: Walter Panosh, Harold and Ruth Panosh, Myles "Sonny" Panosh, Helen Panosh, all of Manitowoc; two daughters and a son-in-law; Peggy M. Thor and special friend Terry York, Manitowoc, Nancy A. and Wayne Doney, Brown Deer, Wis.; two sisters and a brother-in-law: Louise Toonen, Milwaukee, Lillian and Ferdy Ramthun, Cape Coral, Fla.; 21 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren, other nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive.


She was preceded in death by her husband Herbert, an infant daughter Mary, a brother, Joe Panosh, son-in-law, Michael Thor, sister-in-law, Janet Panosh and two grandchildren.


Friends may call at the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home and Cremation Center on Tuesday from 5 to 8 p.m. there will be a prayer service held at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, led by Deacon Kenneth Nelesen.


The Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 628 N. Water St., Manitowoc, is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.
