Anna immigrated to America on Sept. 17, 1911. She came with Mrs. Hannah Jacobson, wife of Jacob T. Jacobson of Pontiac, Ill. Hannah had gone to Norway to visit and she returned with Anna, age 19, and Klara Larsen, age 17. These young girls came to America to find work.
Anna was in Aberdeen, Brown Co., S, Dakota,at the time she died of pneumonia. Her death certificate was signed by Clifford Larson, Eagle Butte. S.Dakota. Clifford was the son of Deliah Larson nee Johnson. She was working as a maid for the Vice-President of the Pontiac Shoe Manufacturing Company. Her address was 403 E. Water Street, Pontiac, Ill.
She was survived by her parents;
Berthold and Olena Omdahl;
Brothers; Johannes, Berthold, Olin, and Siguird
Sisters; Elizabeth Marie and Andrea
They all lived at Bergen, Norway.
The mother of Anna was a first cousin of Mrs. Knute Johnson.
Anna is buried on the cemetery plot of Knute and Mary Johnson, Her name is on their gravestone here in the Rowe Cemetery.
