Gladys E. Ott, age 81, formerly of Manitowoc, now a resident of Wisconsin Lutheran Child and Family Nursing Home, Milwaukee, died this Saturday morning, July 10, 1993, at the Nursing Home.


Funeral Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday, July 12, 1993, at First German Evangelical Lutheran Church, Manitowoc. Rev. Arno J. Wolfgramm will officiate with burial to follow at Evergreen Cemetery.


She was born February 23, 1912, at Manitowoc, daughter of the late Charles and Mathilda Houghton. She grew up and was educated in Manitowoc and graduated from Lincoln High School. After high school she was employed at Schuette Brothers Department Store until 1939. She was married to Harlan F. Ott, July 15, 1937, at Manitowoc. He preceded her in death August 24, 1971. She was a resident of Manitowoc until moving to Milwaukee in 1987. She is a member of First German Evangelical Lutheran Church, Manitowoc.


Survivors include two daughters, Judith and Arthur Guse, Germantown, Wis., Karen and Charles Radatz, Falls City, Neb.; five grandchildren, Randy Guse, Kirk Guse, Jennifer Radatz, Eric Guse and Jeffrey Radatz; four sisters and three brothers-in-law, Marian and Roland Schwitzgoebel, Marquette, Mich., Dorothy and Earl Melchert, Two Rivers, Grace Hogan, Mason Neck, Vir., Mary Jane and Edward Ettner, Mason Neck, Vir.; one sister-in-law, Lelah Ott, Manitowoc; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by one brother, Gordon Houghton and one sister Margaret Klemm.


Friends may call at First German Evangelical Lutheran Church on Monday from 12 noon until the time of services at 1:30 p.m.


Memorials would be appreciated for the First German Evangelical Lutheran Church.
