August Ott, 61, of 1330 S. Tenth street, died Tuesday afternoon at his home after a lingering illness. He was a carpenter for many years, retiring three years ago.


The funeral will be held Friday afternoon at 1:30 at the residence and at two o'clock at the First German Ev. Lutheran church. The Rev. L. H. Koeninger will officiate and burial will be in Evergreen. The body was removed to the residence from the Wattawa, Urbanek and Schlei funeral home this afternoon.


Mr. Ott was born March 25, 1876 in the Town of Liberty. In 1903 he married Miss Anna Mueller. They resided in Manitowoc ever since their marriage.


Survivors are the widow, one daughter, Miss Lelah at home, one son, Harlan, of this city; four brothers, Albert, Milwaukee, Charles, Meeme, Fred and William, Liberty; and five sisters, Mrs. Carl Schnell, Newton, Mrs. Frank Glaeser, city, Mrs. August Toesch, Cato, Mrs. Henry Koeppen, Meeme, and Mrs. Alex Kuhn, Milwaukee.
