Orrin A. Owart, age 66, a resident of Hochkammer Home, Newton, died Sunday morning, February 26, 1995, at Holy Family Memorial Medical Center, Manitowoc.


Funeral Services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Thursday, March 2, 1995, at Pfeffer Funeral Home, and 10 a.m. at St. Paul's Catholic Church, Manitowoc. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be Rev. Ronald Reimer with burial at Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.


He was born August 30, 1928, in Manitowoc, son of the late Walter and Florence Wittman Owart. He was a graduate of Manitowoc Lincoln High School, class of 1946 and then served in the United States Army in Europe. Mr. Owart was employed with Braun Lumber of Manitowoc until his retirement. He was a member of the Manitowoc Senior Center and was an avid league bowler.


Survivors include two uncles and an aunt, Carl and Norma Owart, Two Rivers, Leroy Owart, Manitowoc; three aunts and an uncle, Erma Rocque, Milwaukee, Leona Vetting, Florida, Margaret and Arnold Fischer, Manitowoc. Also surviving are special friends, Harland and Maxine Hynek, Manitowoc, along with cousins, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Florence Owart and many aunts and uncles.


Friends may call at Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday where a prayer service will be held at 7:30 p.m. by Deacon William Klein.
