DORA OWART PETRI

(1867 • 1931)

LONG ILLNESS ENDS LIFE OF EX-RESIDENT

A long illness which had kept her confined to her home for months, Saturday at Loomis, Wisconsin, claimed the life of Mrs. Nic Petri, 64, only sister of Charles Owart of this city. The death of the local man's sister is the second in the family in seven months, Mrs. Owart dying as a result of injuries she sustained in an automobile crash at Denmark early this year.

Mrs. Petri, nee Dora Owart, was born in Manitowoc on March 22, 1867 and spent her early life here. Twenty-two years ago she and her family moved to Loomis where they took up their residence on a farm.

Besides her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Harold Sellus, Green Bay; two sons, Emil and Arno at home and a brother, Charles Owart of this city.

Funeral services will be held from the Evangelical Lutheran church at Crivitz on Tuesday morning and interment will take place at Evergreen cemetery in this city tomorrow afternoon at 1:30 o'clock.
