The Oklahoman, Monday, April 22, 1957:
Mrs Gussie Mae Taylor, 64, of 1812 1/2 N. Drexel, died early Sunday morning in an Oklahoma City hospital. She had been ill since suffering a cerebral hemorrhage two weeks ago.

Services will be 10:30 am Wednesday in the chapel of Smith & Kernke Funeral Home with burial in Rose Hill Cemetery.

Born in Fairview, WV, Oct 17, 1982, Mrs Taylor and her husband moved with their family to Oklahoma in 1916. They lived in Oiltown and various other state towns before coming to Oklahoma City in 1927. She was the widow of Fred A. Taylor, oil field drifter, who was killed in an accident while working in 1937. She was a member of First Nazarene Church.

Survivors include a son, Merle H. Taylor, 3215 Nesbitt; her mother, Mrs Priscilla Haught, Choctaw; five brothers, Emery Haught, Waynesboro, PA; Everett Faye Haught, Alexandria, LA; Ross Haught, Nicoma Park; Jim Haught, Pryor; and Waldo Haught, Choctaw; two sisters, Mrs Ruth Harris, Fort Worth, TX; and Freda Swiger, Fairmont, WV; two grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
