Mrs. Christine Morel Bell, 92, retired teacher and former resident of Morel Road, died Wednesday, December 4, 2002, at Centennial Medical Center.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 11:30 A.M. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Rev. E. Thomas Vann, Sr. officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Nebo Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Friday from 2:00 – 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.

The Maury County native was the daughter of the late Herbert Albert Morel and Louella Dame Morel. She was married to Will Lewis Bell who preceded her in death on April 10, 1978. Mrs. Bell had taught school at Water Valley, Santa Fe, and Baker Elementary. She was a member of Craft Memorial United Methodist Church.

Survivors include two daughters, Macella McBride of Columbus, Ohio; Areta (Orville) Childs of Hermitage; one brother, Ezell Morel of Columbia; one sister, Winfrey Willis of Nashville; three grandchildren, Shannon Dame Binkley of Hendersonville; Velvet Dawn Smith and Jaylen Smith, both of Columbus, Ohio; two great grandchildren, Paislee Christine Binkley and Dylan Ross Binkley, both of Hendersonville; six stepdaughters; two stepsons; several step grandchildren; several step great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
