She was an artist and loved working in ceramics and reading. She was a member of the Arlington United Methodist Church in Nashville, TN.
She was the wife of the late Howard Cherry.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Gilbert and Hazel Fern Karn Bowers; her husband and a daughter, Betty May Blankers.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, July 31, 2012 at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home with Bro. Robert Nichols officiating. Burial will follow in Germantown Cemetery, Athens, AL.
