Paternal Great Grandmother of Patricia ( Pat ) Lyn Davis Arnold.

Mrs. Davis was a member of the Monticello Methodist Church and had been for many years.

Mr. and Mrs. Davis celebrated their sixty-third wedding anniversary on August 28. She leaves one-hundred and eleven living descendants.

She leaves her husband, Jasper Davis of Monticello; four sons; Preston Davis, Jewel Davis and John Davis all of Monticello and Jimmy Davis of Salem; four daughters; Mr. H. E. Reid, Mrs. Beulah Neal, Mrs. Hezzie Williamson and Mrs. Walter Ward, all of Monticello; three half brothers; Kelly Ballard, Perry Ballard and Toxie Ballard, all of Monticello; five half-sisters; Mrs. Hazel Hencock and Mrs. Sophie Roach, both of Gary, Indiana; Mrs. Beatrice Loper, Mrs. Clara Hearn and Mrs. Wadie Lambert, all of Monticello; thirty-three grandchildren, sixty-two great grandchildren and seven great-great grandchildren.

Pall bearers were grandsons and were Sonny Davis, Buddy Ward, Eddie Joe Davis, John Neal, Gerald Davis and Kenneth Williamson.

Many beautiful floral tributes and the large number attending the services were evidence of the love and esteem in which Mrs. Davis was held.
