After a lingering illness of several months' duration, Mrs. Walter Johannes,
47, passed away this morning at 4:30 at the family home, 1918 Jefferson street.
The deceased had been at the hospital at Manitowoc, but was returned to her
home here three weeks ago. Her maiden name was Anna Gagnon, and she had always
made Two Rivers her home.
Besides the husband, one daughter, Jeannette, and one son, Lester, the deceased
is survived by four brothers, William and Dan of Chicago, Joseph of Milwaukee,
and James of Sheboygan, and one sister, Mrs. Rudie Pilon of Lymon, Wash.
The body will lie in state at the funeral chapel at Beduhn and Goetz until
Saturday noon, where it may be viewed by friends, after which it will be taken
to the home on Jefferson street. Burial will take place Monday morning at ten
o'clock, from St. Luke's church.

The funeral of the late Mrs. Walter Johannes, who died Thursday, took place
this morning at nine o'clock from the St. Luke's church, Rev. Father Hugo
officiating. Burial took place at the Holy Cross cemetery.
