She is survived by a sister, Minnie Holman, nieces: Joan Potter Staton and Susan Ross Pease, nephews: William Ross and Charles Ross, great niece, Jeannie Staton Pappas, and two great-nephews: Steven Staton and Michael Staton. Funeral service: 10:30a.m. Sat., Aug. 4, at Schneider Funeral Home, LaCygne Chapel. Burial in Oak Lawn Cem. Visitation is 10a.m. until service. Contributions suggested to LaCygne Public Library.

She married Kenneth K. Ross in 1943 while he was stationed at Blythe Air Base, Arizona. Kenneth died in 2003. Also preceding her in death was a sister, Ethel Hutson, a brother, James Calvin Shelton, and a nephew, Robert Potter.
