The Service of Remembrance for Mrs. Betty J. "B.J." Homan, age 80, of Homosassa, Florida, will be held 6:00 PM, Thursday, July 26, 2012, at Faith Baptist Church, Homosassa, with Pastor Chris Owens officiating. Cremation will be under the direction of Hooper Crematory, Inverness, Florida.
B.J. was born May 27, 1932 in Lebanon, PA, daughter of the late Lester and Minerva (Sonnon) Miller. She died July 24, 2012, in Lecanto, FL. She was the owner and operator of "B.J. and the Awning Man Co.," installing R.V. awnings in campgrounds. She moved to Homosassa, Florida, from Stratford, NJ, in 1980. She enjoyed playing games and helping others. Mrs. Homan was a member of Faith Baptist Church, Homosassa.
Survivors include her husband of 58 years, Thomas H. Homan of Homosassa; 3 sons, W. Charles Homan of Homosassa, Stephen T. "Chip" (Dawn) Homan of Stratford, NJ, and Thomas L. Homan of Spring Hill; 4 sisters, Shirl A. Whitman of Lancaster, PA, Carol F. Artz, Terry L. (George) Wilson and Linda L. (Dennis) Young, all of Lebanon, PA; 8 grandchildren, Cherie Homan, W. Charles Homan Jr., Aaron (Machael) Homan, Tabitha (Brian) Mackey, Tonya Homan, Brittany Homan, Brooke (Bill) Emmertz and Thomas "T.J." Homan Jr.; 11 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
