John T. Baldasare, Sr., age 91, of Vandalia, passed away on Wednesday, August 1, 2012. He was retired from the City of Dayton as a Firefighter and owned and operated Gettysburg Lawn Mower Shop. He was a dedicated father to the six children who survive him, sons and daughters-in-law: Tom (Karen) Baldasare of Kettering, John, Jr. (Nancy) Baldasare of Vandalia, David (Toni) Baldasare of CA, and Gary (Judy)Baldasare of Troy, daughters and sons-in-law: Carol (Harry) Campbell of Vandalia and Beverly (John) Kleiber of Belle Center, 15 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife of 66 years: Phyllis in 2007, parents: Thomas and Blanche (Peters) Baldasare, stepmother: Freda Baldasare, and by 2 brothers and 1 sister. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, August 6, 2012 at the Kindred Funeral Home (400 Union Blvd,Englewood) with Pastor John Whitaker officiating. Interment will follow the service at Bearcreek Cemetery in Trotwood. The family will receive friends on Monday, from 12:00 Noon until time of services.
