Mrs. Willodyne Jacobs Orr, 78, a resident of 7th Ave. in Columbia, died Friday April 9, 2004 at Maury Regional Hospital.


Funeral services for Mrs. Orr will be conducted Monday, April 12, 2004 at 1:00 p.m. at Williams Funeral Home in Columbia with Rev. Phillip Lawson officiating. Burial will be in the Polk Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends Sunday from 5:00 to 9:00 pm at the funeral home.

Born in Birmingham, Ala., she was the daughter of the late Shirley E. and Norene Collier Jacobs and wife of the late Lyndol E. Orr. A homemaker, she and her husband restored antique furniture, worked flea markets and yard sales. She attended Woodmont Baptist Church in Nashville.

She is survived by a daughter, Sandra Sue Orr (Bill) Corn of Etowah, TN; a son, Donald Edwin (Corinne) Orr of Columbia; two sisters, Oma Lee Campbell and Bettie June Johnson, both of Decatur, AL.; four grandchildren, Lonnie Orr and Jimmy Orr, both of Columbia, Angel Alston of Atlanta, GA. And Jennifer Myers of Raleigh, N.C.; a step-granddaughter, April Corn Womack of Knoxville, TN; four great-grandchildren, Madison Alston and Victor Alston, both of Atlanta, GA. and Connor Myers and Aidan Phillip Myers, both of Raleigh, N.C.

She was preceded in death by one brother, S.E. Jacobs, Jr.

Pallbearers will be Terry Hodge, Ricky Hodge, Lonnie Orr, Jimmy Orr, Steve Orr and Billy Ray King. Honorary pallbearers will be deacons of the Church of God of Prophecy, Bobby Orr and grandsons-in-law.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
