Samuel "Sam" R. Day, of Loveland, Colo., formerly of Beatrice, died Monday, July 8, 1991, at Loveland. He was born April 16, 1906, in Kensington, Kan. He was a cook and managed several restaurants in Beatrice. Survivors: brothers, Clyde of Loveland, Hale of Alcova, Wyo.; sisters, Ellen Watts of Kensington, Kan. and Gertrude Lohness of Topeka, Kan. He was preceded in death by his wife, Wanda (Kennedy) Day; parents, John W. and Belle (Hale) Day; brothers, Walter, Lester, Jack, Lloyd, Floyd; an infant son and an infant daughter. Rev. Kendall Mercer officiated at the Saturday funeral.
