H. Shaw Noble

Henry Shaw was the son of David Noble and Sarah A. Shaw Noble, and the husband of Delia S. Vrooman. They were married in 1857; after Delia's death he later married Margaret Grant. He received his education at the branch school of the University, and at age sixteen entered the University at Ann Arbor. The same year of his marriage, he entered the mercantile business under the name of W.A. & H.S. Noble, later changed name to Noble and Redfield. He studied law with Willitts & Raleigh and was admitted to the bar in 1872. When he died from paralysis, at the age of 68 years, 10 months, 3 days he was married to Margaret and living at 1113 Elm Avenue, in the Fourth Ward of the City of Monroe.

*Discrepancies for his death date. Published in the Record Com. on Oct. 22, 1908, and death date as Oct. 15, but death certificate has Dr. Southworth filing the record as attending him from 10-19 to 10-22. Burial was held on Oct. 25, 1908. Monroe City Death Records, 1897-1909, lists his death date also as Oct. 22, 1908. Kenneth Noble was the informant for Henry on the death record.

Henry was laid to rest at Woodland Cemetery, Monroe, Mi.
