Mr. Hallett was born in Canisteo, the son of Edgar and Mary Greek Hallett. He married Miss Bessie Reynolds of Canisteo. He had served with the United States Army for over 30 years, recently retiring. He was a member of the Methodist Church at Adrian.
Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Harry Willits of Jersey Shore, Penn., Mrs. Ernest Brown of Savona and Mrs. Helen Mays of Binghamton; and five grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 1 o'clock from the Stover Funeral Home with the Rev. Lorimer W. Crippen, pastor of the First Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be made in the town of Canisteo." The Evening Leader, Corning, N.Y., May 28, 1953
