Marilyn was the mother of seven children; (Gordon Van, Lawrence William & David James Smith), (Barbara Lou & Debbie Lee Janosek) and (Alice May & Ray Alfonso Brown III). She was the grandmother of fourteen descendants; (Gordon, Peter, Vanessa, & Jeremy), (Jason), (David Jr & Jennifer), (Nathan), (Jessica, Amber & Monica), (Nick) and (Ray IV & Aaron). Her goals centered around family life, and to that end she was successful, despite of her disappointing marriages and tough economic circumstances. She was a vital, high energy individual, that got things done. Her thoughts and actions were frequently concerned with the needs of others. She was a documented, Mayflower descendant of John Alden (Prisilla Mullins). She was the granddaughter of Ceceile Jackson (insurance, wife Jessie) who was a former Mayor of Windsor, Ontario. She was the daughter of Dr. Albert William Myers, 1897-1978 (Marjorie Jackson, a nurse), who practiced medicine in the little Michigan town of Potterville. She was the wife of Jack Lawrence Smith, John Francis Janosek, Ray Alfonso Brown II and Joseph Taylor Payne consecutively. She was also the sister of Dr. James William Myers of TX and Dr. David Mac Myers (Sue) of NJ and the long time stepdaughter of Barbara Ann Myers, their mother. Marilyn loved to read and couldn't get her hands on enough books. She also enjoyed being in the company of other people, and took it upon herself to bring others together. She will be dearly missed by her family, so PLEASE...DON'T SMOKE!! Marilyn died at the Home of Hope hospice in Cutlerville, MI, near Grand Rapids.
