Funeral services for David Gerald Allen, age 41, will be Friday, February 15, 2002 at 10:30 AM in the Chapel of Lawrence-Sorensen Funeral Home with Reverend Harold Montgomery officiating. Burial will follow in Big Springs Cemetery near Pinson.
Mr Allen died Tuesday night, February 12, 2002 at the Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.
He was born in Jackson, the son of William Gerald and Kay Frye Allen, and graduated from South Side High School. Mr Allen served in the United States Navy on the USS Merrimac and was a Plank Owner.
Survivors include twin sons, Gregory David Allen and Kevin Gerald Allen and their mother, Charlotte Allen of Friendship, Tennessee; his mother and father, Kay and Gerald Allen of Pinson; his grandmother, Myrtle Fry of Bemis; a sister, Sherri Albert and her husband Mike of Pinson and a nephew, Matthew Albert of Pinson.
Uncles of Mr Allen will serve as pallbearers.
