The Oklahoman, Aug 10, 1982: Miss Irene Holmes, of Oklahoma City, died Aug 9 at St Anthonys Hospital. She was born Nov 2, 1897 in Coalgate, and had been an operator with Bell Telephone for 40 years. Survivors include one sister, Marguerite Gardner, of the home; one brother, E. A. Holmes, of Denver, CO. Graveside services will be 2 pm Wednesday at Rose Hill Cemetery. Arrangements by Guardian Midtown Funeral Home.
