DECATUR, Tenn. -- Virginia Iris (McKenzie) Eddie, formerly of Decatur and most recently from Nashville, died Sunday Jan. 24, 1999, at a local hospital there.

She was 72. She was a member of Two Rivers Baptist Church in Nashville.

She was a graduate of Meigs County High School and also attended Lincoln Memorial University.

Survivors include her husband, Willie McKenzie [Eddie], Nashville; four sons, Tony Eddie, Jeff Eddie, Bill Eddie, Nashville, and Ron Eddie, Marrero, La.; two brothers, Kenneth McKenzie and Darrell McKenzie, Athens, Tenn.; and five grandchildren.

Services will be held Tuesday at 7 p.m. CST at Two Rivers Baptist Church with the Rev. Jerry Sutton officiating and also Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Decatur First Baptist Church with the Rev. Wayne McKenzie officiating.

The family will receive friends Tuesday from noon to 7 p.m. CST at Two Rivers Baptist Church and again on Wednesday 11 a.m to 2 p.m. at Decatur First Baptist Church.

Burial will be at Decatur City Cemetery.
