DeWayne Clark

The funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 11, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Springfield Second Ward Chapel, for DeWayne Clark of Springfield, who died Aug. 4 of prostate cancer. He was 80. Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. Saturday at the church. A memorial service will be held will be at 10 a.m. Aug. 18 at the Church of Latter-day Saints, Country Crossing 10th Ward, in South Jordan, Utah.

He was born Jan. 13, 1932, in Pasadena, Calif., to Howard and Edith Hobbs Clark.

He and his wife, Sally, were married in 1953 in Mesa, Ariz.

He received several degrees including his DDS degree from the University of Southern California. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean conflict. He was stationed on a Pacific Island half way between San Francisco and Oakland, Calif. He practiced dentistry in California and Oregon for almost 50 years. He retired from Willamette Dental Group in Springfield in 2010.

Survivors include his wife; a son; three daughters; a brother; and two sisters. One son died previously.

Burial will be at noon Aug. 18 at Evergreen Cemetery in Springville, Utah. Arrangements by Musgrove Family Mortuary in Eugene.
