John A. Wilke, 68, of 2539 N.13th St., died Tuesday at Milwaukee Lutheran Hospital after a short illness.
Born in Sheboygan on Sept. 25, 1900, he was a son of the late Oscar and Frieda Wilke. On Sept. 1, 1928, he married Edna Scheffler at St. Paul's Lutheran Church.
Mr. Wilke was employed at the Kohler Co, for 42 years. He retired in 1965 as a surveyor.
He was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, and of the Kohler Quarter Century Club.
Survivors are his wife; a son, John R. Wilke, of South St. Paul, Minn.; a daughter, Mrs. John (Joyce) Goetsch, of Whitefish Bay; eight grandchildren, a brother,Theodore, of Sheboygan; two sisters, Mrs. Ella Zill, Newton, and Mrs. Hertha Gumm, Sheboygan.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday at Nickel's Funeral Home with the Rev. Arnold Wenger, pastor of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, officiating. Burial will be in Wildwood Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 4 p.m. Thuirsday.
A memorial fund in his name has been established for St. Paul's Lutheran Church.
