Thomas B. Allison, 88, of West Salem died Thursday at the home of his son here. He had been in failing health for some time.
Born in Ashland County he was a former Penfield farmer and for 29 years had operated a hardware and grocery store at West Salem.
Surviving him are three sons, Forest of West Salem, Howard of Spencer and Truman of Elyria; three daughters, Ruth Allison of Elyria, Mrs. Grace Hawkins of West Salem and Mrs. Elizabeth Hines of Chelahis, Wash. there are also 10 grandchildren. His wife died in 1929.
The body is at the Addis Funeral Home at West Salem where friends may call Saturday afternoon and evening and where services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday. The Rev. H.S. Lauby will officiate. Burial will be made in Penfield Cemetery.
