Gordon Earl Allmon, 70, died suddenly at his home here Thursday morning. A retired railroad engineer, Mr. Allmon had lived in Missouri Valley since 1915. He and Mrs. Allmon celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary last spring.

Survivors are: widow, Ella Marie; one sone, Robert Allmon, Missouri Valley postmaster; three daughters; Mrs. J. E. O'Neill (Helen), Tacoma, Washington, Mrs. Harry Miller (Marie), Council Bluffs, and Mrs. Donald Guttau (Betty), Mondamin: one brother, Lyle Allmon, Omaha; two sisters, Mrs. Leo Kaneft (Lois) and Mrs. Elmer Backstrom (Lela) both of Omaha; and five grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Sunday at 2 PM at the Methodist Church in Missouri Valley. The Rev. Earl Josten will officiate and burial will be in the Rose Hill Cemetery.
