Wanda Louise Ross Dail 75, went to be with the Lord on Sunday October 22, 2023 at St. Bernards Hospital in Jonesboro, AR. Wanda was born to Larry Marie Ross in Walnut Ridge, AR on October 30, 1947.
Wanda graduated from Black Rock High School in May 1965. After Graduation, Wanda was a lifetime bookkeeper. She began bookkeeping for Walt McClain Refrigeration in Walnut Ridge. She was the accountant for Dail's Body Shop of which she was a co-owner.
Wanda served the residents of Ravenden as recorder-treasurer until her death. She was a dedicated worker for the city for twenty-seven years.
Wanda married Jack Dail on June 17,1967 and moved to Ravenden, AR. She was a devoted, active Christian and a member of the Ravenden Baptist Church.
Jordan and Corey became the "apple of her eye" as she cared for them daily and attended their activities. Wanda also had real joy in family get togethers. Wanda always won the prize for the family cook. She obtained a lot of her cooking skills by watching her favorite cooking shows, and her collection of cookbooks.
Wanda was preceded in death by her parents, Larry and Marie Ross; brother Darrell Ross; a niece Brooke Busby; and sister-in-law Billie Ann Spencer. Wanda is survived by her husband of 56 years Jack Dail, her son Shane (Dorinda) of Ravenden, a stepdaughter Cathy (Andy) White; of Cheyenne, Wyoming, five grandsons; Jordan, Corey, Jason, Kyle, and Ian; and three great grandsons.
Wanda's surviving siblings are sisters Brenda (Larry) King; Doris (Larry) Dail; brothers Kenny (Beverly); DJ (Regina) and Mike (Pam) Ross. Sister in laws; Janice Dail Mead of Julesburg; Colorado; Betty (Byron) Busby of Pocahontas; brothers-in-laws Butch (Doris) Dail of Ravenden and Ted (Cheryl) Dail of Gentry, AR. She was loved by many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Visitation will be Wednesday, October 25, 2023 from 5-8 PM at Ravenden Baptist Church. Funeral services will be Thursday, October 25, 2023 at 10 AM at Ravenden Baptist Church with Baron Wildmon and John Stoll officiating. Burial will follow in Dails Cemetery.
