Freda Butler Baggett, age 74, of Lawrenceburg, Tenn., passed away Saturday, Aug. 4, 2012, at NHC Healthcare of Lawrenceburg. She was a native of Lawrence County, Tenn., retired from the Department of Human Services as a supervisor, a member of Coleman Memorial United Methodist Church and of the United Methodist Women. Mrs. Baggett was also a member of the Buffalo River Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution, Lawrenceburg Eastern Star Chapter 103, and the Four Corners F.C.E. Club. She also served as the Ambassador for the Lawrence County Chamber of Commerce.
Her parents were the late James Clifford and Evelyn Pearl Mabry Butler. She was also preceded in death by her loving husband, Frank Baggett.
She is survived by a son Phil Baggett (Becky), Muscle Shoals, Ala., a daughter, Leah Kilby (Eddie), Knoxville, Tenn., and six grandchildren,Chris Kilby, Meredith Kilby,
Alison Baggett Pita (Claudio), Rachel Baggett,John Baggett,
and James Baggett.
one great-grandchild, Cristian Pita.
Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home, 231 N. Military Avenue, Lawrenceburg, Tennessee.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, Aug., 7, 2012, at Neal Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at Coleman Memorial United Methodist Church at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 8, 2012, with Reverend Rickey Wade officiating. Internment will follow at Lawrence County Memorial Gardens in Lawrenceburg, Tenn.
The family has requested memorials be made in honor of Mrs. Baggett to the Coleman Memorial Building Fund or God's Storehouse.
