Funeral service for Nathan O. Payne, 73 was held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at McConnell Funeral Chapel in Greenwood with Rev. Dan Evans and Rev. Elmus C. Brown officiating. Burial was in Liberty Cemetery.
Mr. Payne died Monday at his home in the Burnsville Community. He was a retired railroad man.
Survivors include his wife, Nellie; one daughter, Mrs. Edward Thomas, Greenwood; one brother Grady, Fort Worth, Tex; and two sisters, Mrs Pearl Shepard and Mrs. Grace Aldrich, both of Ft. Worth.
Pallbearers were Carol Cesar, Bud Jones, Bill Johnson, Means Wilkinson, Willie Lewis and Gene Winford.
